Aris Brimanis, the former NHL defenseman who is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and now makes Anchorage his offseason home, earned some hockey hardware and the right to a ring when his club, the Hannover Scorpions, won the 2010 championship of the German Elite League.
Brimanis, 38, and company swept Augsburger in three straight -- Brimanis furnished two assists and a +3 rating in the Finals. In 11 playoff games, Brimanis racked 1-4--5 totals and a +3 rating.
